Business Intelligence CenterWhy BIC?
The Business Intelligence Center (BIC) exists to help KU grow in its ability to make insightful decisions by trying to build structure out of the chaotic data deluge. When it comes to making decisions, everyone wants to be quick and effective. To do that, you need clear and accurate information, and it needs to be the right information for your decision. BIC does the heavy lifting of extracting and organizing data, so you can focus on gaining insights and making the decisions that matter. To learn more about business intelligence, visit our page describing BI in more detail.

What does BIC do?
We build data models. We take the lead on helping the university develop a data governance strategy. We design toolsets and perform analytics. We seek and and implement tools that will put the right data in your hands. We help develop analytics staff across campus to use BI tools effectively. Basically, we do anything that involves gathering and making sense of data. To learn more about the tools we support, click here.
